- The limit of a good phone line is around 38kbps. I doubt you'll see
- much more than 33.6 for the forseeable future though.

- It makes sense if your phone line can handle it. Since most UK phone
- lines handle 28.8kbps then it seems reasonable to try for something
- faster. I usually get 31200/28800 connects to USR's UK bulletin
- board for example - OK, its not stunning, but its better than
- 28800/28800.

- dismiss performance improvements as a marketing gimmick if you wish,
